OUTDOOR SNACKS

Yummy Smores and Fishing Snacks Galore:

Easy Smores:
Have children spread marshmallow cream and fudge on a graham cracker. Have children bring smores to circle and sit at campfire for a scary story.

Fishing Snacks:
Place goldfish crackers on a blue napkin (a pretend pond). Have children help themselves to pretzel sticks (fishing pole) and have them dip into peanut butter (bait). Children then go and catch a fish in their pond.

Make Dirt:
Children help make dirt (chocolate cake) and decorate with gummy worms. Yuck!

Toasting Marshmallows:
Have children place mini marshmallows on pretzel sticks.

Watermelon Fun:
Have children eat watermelon outside and spit out seeds. See if ants or birds come the next day to feast on the seeds.

Trail Mix:
Have children prepare their own outdoor snack by having a variety of bowls with different snacks (dried fruit such as apples, pineapples, raisins, as well as pretzels). Make sure to check your ALLERGY food list.
