CAMPING CLOSURE/ASSESSMENT

As the theme comes to an end, have children wear pajamas to school. Turn the outdoor playground into a campsite with all the right props. Have children pack their backpacks for the hiking trip then finish with their sleeping bags outside. While eating their watermelon they listen to a combination of all the stories they told over the past few weeks.

The children then go on a scavenger hunt and find a photo that the adults placed around the campsite. When child finds a picture, they return to the campfire and adult leads a discussion on what they learned about during their camping trip.
